Following on from last year's YOU'RE LIKE A SCALPEL I'M LIKE A FLICK KNIFE tape and his appearance on the REQUEST STOP compilation with 1012, man of 1,001 aliases LUKE MURRAY returns to Brachliegen as STONECIRCLESAMPLER.

DEEP DREAM DERBYSHIRE GLOOM is a collection of sonic menhirs, indebted to the Peak District and its moorlands, valleys and ridges. STONECIRCLESAMPLER exhumes eight megalithic grimescapes and their fossilised forms on DEEP DREAM DERBYSHIRE GLOOM, digging out drones from the bogs and clocking out rhythms on the rockface. Rapping bones on gritstone and picking up lost radio transmissions caught on the wind, STONESCIRCLESAMPLER follows prehistoric trackways deep into the night and returns, post-rave, with foraged beats and already fading dew-damp memories.

Summoning the spirit of Nocturnal Emissions circa Spiritflesh, The Stranger (Leyland Kirby), and Basic Channel, DEEP DREAM DERBYSHIRE GLOOM is an essential pick up for fans of dub techno and an entry into the palimpsestic continuum of U.K. hardcore/ambient industrial.

Hi hats skitter like red kites and kicks punch like the blasts of the quarry. Held tones and ambiences skip over the bleak, frosted hills of the Peak District, coagulating around Bleaklow and Peter's Stone. The last train back to town is sooner than you think, and you don't want to spend the night out here...
