Brachliegen Tapes presents a harsh drone cassette by Vinegar Tom featuring two long form noise pieces that take as their point of departure the husks which linger on in data, haunted.

A mediation on loss, grief and spectrality, the work attempts to exhume the buried sound which lives on in images of remembrance, through databending and heavy processing. The resulting dirges invite forth the voice of the phantom which scratches at the digital realm, congealed in the groan of a time that moves on without them.

Swamps of harsh digital noise cascade into thick layers of tape delay and reverb, before clattering into an abyss, somewhere between the void, the astral plane and Weld Road.

Missing something vital -- a dream of dust, realised.
